Senders can update the Signer for their organization before sending a Deal and throughout the Deal process.
A Signer does not need a Bonterms account and may be different from the Deal Owner.

Update Signers - Before Sending the Deal
Before a Deal is sent, Signers can be managed from the Preview Deal screen.
The Signer does not need to be a member of your Bonterms Organization.
Deal Team Section
Before sending the Deal, you can manage Signers from the Deal Team section of the Preview Deal page.
- Scroll to the Deal Team section.
- Click the Signer role.
- Update the Signer information in the Change Signer modal.

During Guided Review, Approval or Signture stages, from the Deal page, click Deal Team in the top right.

Click on the Signer role in the modal.

Update Signer Information in the Change Signer modal.
Note: The Signer does not need a Bonterms account to be added.
Note: A Second Signer cannot be added or removed during the Signature stage, but Signers can still be updated. See Add a Second Signer section below.
- Click Change Signer to finalize the changes.
Add a Second Signer
If your organization requires two signatures on agreements, you can add a second Signer before initiating signature.
A second Signer can be added from:
- Deal Team section on the Preview Deal screen
- Deal Team modal during the Guided Review or Approval stages
When a second Signer is added:
- Both Signers are required to sign.
- Either Signer may sign first.
- Both Signers have the same permissions and access.
- Once signature has been initiated, Signers cannot be added or removed (but they can still be changed if necessary).
- The Deal will not be considered fully executed until both Signers have signed.

After Signature Is Initiated
Once signature has been initiated, the Deal's signing configuration is locked.
Existing Signers can still be changed if necessary, but Signers cannot be added or removed.
