When a Deal reaches the Signature Stage, you can sign it multiple ways:
E-Signature Integration (Off Platform)
During the Signature Stage, if you have set up your e-signature integration (either DocuSign or DropboxSign), you can initiate the signature by clicking the 'Initiate Signature' button and your Cover Page will be sent directly to the Signers' inboxes to execute the Agreement through the e-signature provider connected.
E-Signature Integration (Embedded / On Platform)
An alternate way of setting up an e-signature integration is by allowing for embedded Signing on the Bonterms Platform. Using this approach, both Signers of the Deal can sign the Cover Page directly in the Bonterms Platform at the Signature Stage of the Deal.
Sign Deal Off-Platform
Note: Choosing to Sign a Deal Off Platform must be initiated by the Sender of a Deal.
If you use an e-signature tool not currently supported by Bonterms or would prefer a different method, follow these steps:
1. Download the Cover Page in either PDF or DOCX format.
2. Sign the Downloaded Cover Page using your preferred method.
3. Once both parties have signed, click the three dots next to download button.
4. Select 'Sign Deal Off-Platform' to mark the Deal as completed.
5. Click 'Upload Completed PDF' in the modal and upload the fully-executed PDF. (Note: You can also upload a completed PDF later by accessing the Deal through the Dashboard.)
Important: Do not use Sign Deal Off-Platform if you change the contents of a Cover Page after downloading from the Bonterms Platform.
