Create an Entity Block

An Entity Block combines your Entity, Signer(s), Governing Law, and Court selections into a reusable package that can be inserted into Deal Templates. Entity Blocks help your team standardize frequently used company information and reduce manual setup when creating new Deals. By creating an Entity Block once, you can quickly apply the same information across multiple Deal Templates and Deals.

How to Create a new Entity Block

  1. On the Bonterms Platform, navigate to Entity Blocks from the left-hand menu.

Optional: Add a Second Signer

If your organization requires two signatures on agreements, you can enable Add Second Signer within the Entity Block.

When enabled:

  • A second Signer can be selected or created.
  • Both Signers will be saved as part of the Entity Block.
  • If the Entity Block is used in a Deal Template, both Signers will automatically populate in the Template.
  • Deals created from that Template will inherit both Signers by default.

The second Signer can still be changed or removed later when creating a Deal.

For more information, see Add a Second Signer.
