Description:
The Bonterms Platform now allows Organizations to set up and configure Reminder emails. Unlike the ‘Resend’ feature that already exists, these emails are automated and do not need to be triggered manually by a User. These Reminder emails will send an automated email to the User (either on the Sender or Recipient side) that needs to act on the Deal. Bonterms Platform Organizations can configure the cadence that these Reminder emails get sent out.
Turning on & configuring Reminder emails:
- In order to turn Reminder emails on, an Admin on the Bonterms Platform needs to enable this feature.
- In the ‘General’ section within Settings, navigate to the tab named ‘Reminders’.
- Click the box next to ‘Allow reminder emails for my Organization and counterparties.’ to turn on Reminder emails.
- Configure the cadence you would like the Reminder emails to be sent:
- Days before sending first reminder: determines when the first reminder email will be sent out.
- Note: if this value remains ‘0’, no reminder emails will be sent out.
- Days between reminders: determines how often you would like an additional Reminder email to be sent after the first one.
- Note: if this value remains ‘0’, only one reminder email will be sent out, determined by the value input in the ‘Days before sending first reminder’ field.
- Days before sending first reminder: determines when the first reminder email will be sent out.
- If the Admin and Organization would like Senders (other Users within their Organization) to modify the Reminder email cadence on specific Deals, they can do so by toggling the ‘Allow senders to override this setting’ on.
- Click ‘Save’ on the top-right corner of the Platform to save these preferences.
Modifying Reminder Email Cadence on Individual Deals
- If your Organization has allowed Senders to override the default Reminder cadence on individual Deals, Deal Owners can update these emails on an individual basis.
- To do so, from the Dashboard, a User/Deal Owner can click on the three dots on the right hand side of the Deal they would like to update.
- In the dropdown, select ‘Set Reminders’ and update the modal with the desired cadence. Click Save once completed.
- This individual Deal’s Reminder email cadence has now been updated.
Notes/Comments:
- Turning this feature on will turn on Reminders for any existing Deals.
- If a User updates the Reminder email cadence, these new preferences will take precedence over the Admin preferences at the Organization level.
